Dr. Marcia Bannister, professor and chair of the Department of Communication Disorders at Fort Hays State University, gave an invited presentation in February to members and guests of Kiowa Masonic Lodge No. 293 in Greensburg.
The program was on the mission and role of FHSU's Department of Communication Disorders and the relationship between the university and the Kansas Masonic Foundation.
Bannister was assisted by one of the department's graduate students, Elizabeth Cline, Lyons. Cline is in her first year of graduate school and is one of four Masonic Fellows in the department.
After the presentation, which fell on Valentine's Day, lodge members presented Bannister and Cline with roses and chocolates.
