As comet C/2002 T7 approaches, Fort Hays State University is giving residents of the area a chance to see the comet up close. The comet, which can be seen through a backyard telescope, is visible near Venus in the western sky just after sunset.

The comet can also be seen at FHSU's Albertson Hall Observatory, room 412. The observatory hours are 8 p.m.-10 p.m., Tues. through Thurs., skies permitting.
