Small Business Development Center to host business workshops
08/05/2004

Starting a business is an important process, with many decisions and duties. To help make the process easier, the Fort Hays State University Small Business Development Center will offer a free overview of what it takes to start a business in Kansas at three August sessions. The SBDC will offer anyone a chance to learn the mechanics of writing a business plan, preparing a cash flow projection and other issues important to a new business.

In Hays, the workshops will run from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on Aug. 11 and Aug. 18 at the SBDC Office at 109 W. 10th St.

Great Bend will host the session on Aug. 12 from 1-4 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, 1307 Williams St.

The workshops are free and open to the public. Anyone interested in participating in the free discussions must call the SBDC office at (785) 628-6786 to sign up due to limited space.
