Kristy Nyp, Russell, has joined the Fort Hays State University Endowment Association as a development associate focusing on major gifts fundraising.
Nyp graduated from FHSU in December 1989 with a degree in communication (journalism, news editing emphasis). Her career has spanned newspaper reporting, advertising, print design, event promotion, corporate communications, public relations, real estate sales, and non-profit fundraising. Nyp has been involved in Kiwanis, Beta Sigma Phi, and Russell Community Theater, has previously served on the Board of Directors of Post Rock Family Services, and was elected secretary of the National Educational Telecommunications Association Communications Council. She recently participated in the relational fundraising conference presented by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education in Washington, DC.
Nyp is a 1986 graduate of Palco High School. She is the daughter of John and Hazel Love, Zurich, the granddaughter of Velma Faulds, Dodge City, and the daughter-in-law of Roland and Irene Nyp, Stockton, and Linda and Ron Brin, Plainville.
The FHSU Endowment Association is a non-profit organization that raises funds to support and promote educational undertaking at Fort Hays State University. Gifts donated to the association, and income generated from those gifts, are used for scholarships, departmental programs, faculty development, and overall enrichment of the University.
