FHSU Wind Ensemble to perform at Hays High School 'Popcorn Concert 2004'

The Fort Hays State University Wind Ensemble will perform as the special guest at the 18th annual Hays High School "Popcorn Concert."

The ensemble, directed by Dr, Jeff Jordan, assistant professor of music, will perform after the Hays High Indian Jazz Band and the Indian Concert Band, which are directed by Craig L. Manteuffel.

According to Jordan, a variety of music will be performed, including works by Leonard Bernstein, David Holsinger and John Phillip Sousa.

The concert will conclude with a combined performance from the Hays High band and the FHSU Wind Ensemble.

"This will be a wonderful evening of instrumental music for the entire family," said Jordan,

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the high school, 2300 E. 13th St., Hays, in Gym A. Popcorn will be served and admission is free and open to the public.
