FHSU's Geneva Herndon Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic provides services for the public

Fort Hays State University's Geneva Herndon Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic provides services for children and adults who are experiencing communication delays or disorders. The Herndon Clinic is located on the FHSU campus in Albertson Hall.

Screenings, evaluations and treatments in a range of areas are available. The areas include articulation (correct formation of speech sounds), voice (persistent hoarseness or vocal cord dysfunction), stuttering, language (understanding and expressing thoughts clearly), aural rehabilitation (use of hearing aids and lip reading), tongue thrust (improper swallowing, lisping) and head injuries and strokes that result in difficulty in speech or language.

Anyone who believes that an evaluation is needed, for him or herself or for a child, may contact the clinic. Referrals are not necessary. Fees for services vary according to the procedures used. Many procedures are covered by insurance.
