A faculty orientation video and a promotion for the Geosciences Department at Fort Hays State University were recognized for excellence recently by The Communicator Awards, an international program to recognize excellence in communication.

"New Faculty Orientation," a video produced by the university's Center for Teaching Excellence and Learning Technology, received an Honorable Mention Communicator Award in the category of Internal Communications/Orientation.

"Explore Your World With Geosciences," a CD-ROM produced by CTELT and the Geosciences Department, won two Awards of Distinction, one for multimedia and another for creativity/special effects/animation.
