FHSU professor elected to ASHA Council of Academic Accreditation

Dr. Fred Britten, Fort Hays State University professor of communication disorders, has been elected to a two-year term, 2004-2005, on the Council of Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

The CAA sets the accreditation standards and reviews accreditation status for graduate programs in speech-language pathology and audiology throughout the United States.

Dr. Britten joined the FHSU faculty in 1976. He teaches courses in audiology and aural rehabilitation. He is director of audiology services at the Herndon Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. He has served in numerous elected and appointed positions within ASHA and the Kansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
