HAYS, KS - Dr. Brittany J. Bock, assistant professor of agriculture, will present research she conducted with John Brethour, Lawrence graduate student, and Dr. Keith Harmoney, Kansas State University, at the Western Section American Society of Animal Science meetings in Davis, CA, in June 2000.

The research was conducted at the Kansas State University Agricultural Research Center in Hays and is titled "Influence of Betaine on Pasture, Finishing and Carcass Performance, Backfat and Marketing Deposition in Steers."
