Treating customers right, successful teambuilding and proper supervisory training will all be topics at three Fort Hays State University Small Business Development Center workshops scheduled for November.
"Taking Care of Customers" is the title of a workshop Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History. The workshop, which costs $65, will focus on how to retain customers, how to listen to customers effectively, how to deal with difficult customers and many other topics relating to customer satisfaction.
"Successful Teambuilding" and "Supervisory Training" are corresponding workshops that will be sponsored by the FHSU SBDC and FHSU's Center for Civic Leadership on Friday, Nov. 14, at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History.
"Successful Teambuilding," 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., will look at some advantages of working in teams, barriers to teamwork, how to develop effective teams and other teambuilding topics.
"Supervisory Training,"1:30 to 4:30 p.m., will focus on different leadership styles, resolving conflict, how to delegate responsibility and other topics relating to training leaders in the workplace.
The cost of both workshops is $100 on or before Friday, Nov. 7, and $130 after that date. The cost of a single workshop is $75 each by Nov. 7, and $90 after that.
