Fort Hays State University and the community will have the chance Thursday, Dec. 4, to hear cellist Benjamin Morris-Cline, whose performances have been critically acclaimed for their "warm signing tone" and "impeccable intonation."
The performance will begin at 8 p.m. in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center on the FHSU campus.
He is currently serving as a visiting professor of cello at the University of Northern Colorado and is a faculty member of the Northern Colorado String Quartet Program, a summer program dedicated to training aspiring high school string players. He was recently appointed to the Music in the Mountains Summer Festival in Durango, CO. as a faculty member.
He is a founding member of the Matisse Piano Trio along with two FHSU professors, Matthew Means, assistant professor of music, and Dr. Junghwa (CHOONG-wah) Lee, assistant professor of music. The Matisse Piano Trio will start touring in the spring of 2004.
