Former Vice President Al Gore will present "Race and Democracy," a democracy lecture, live via satellite downlink from 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, in the Center for Teaching Excellence and Learning Technology (CTELT) Conference Room 45 in Forsyth Library on the Fort Hays State University campus.
Gore's lecture, which will be given on the Middle Tennessee State University campus, will be broadcast live via satellite to American Democracy Project (ADP) campuses across the nation.
The address is open to the public and participants will have the opportunity to call in and participate in the discussion.
The lecture is sponsored by FHSU as part of its participation in the ADP, a multi-campus collaboration that promotes civic engagement.
The project, sponsored by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), has 144 participating institutions, including FHSU, from AASCU's membership.
