Guarisco to present spiders at Sternberg Museum of Natural History
10/15/2003

Fort Hays State University's Sternberg Museum of Natural History will feature a public presentation by Hank Guarisco, research associate of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24 in the Engel Education Center at the Sternberg Museum.

Guarisco, who lives in Lawrence, KS, will talk about his life-long passion-?spiders. He will discuss how some spiders build elaborate webs in which to ensnare their prey while others ambush prey from holes in the ground. His presentation is part of the museum's ongoing Wild Discovery Series (formerly the Discover Kansas Series). The public is invited to attend the presentation, which will cost $1 for non-members and is free to museum members.

For more information, contact the museum at (785) 628-4286 or go to the Web site at www.fhsu.edu/sternberg.
