Contractors who need clarification about tax regulations are invited to attend a contractors tax workshop, sponsored by Fort Hays State University's Small Business Development Center and the Kansas Department of Revenue.

The workshop will be in Hays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History; in Great Bend from 5:30 to 7:30 on Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Chamber Office, 1307 Williams; and in Colby from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, at the Chamber Office, 350 S. Range.

Topics to be covered during the workshop include commercial and remodeling projects, sales tax on materials, taxable and exempt labor, project exemption certificates and construction for farmers.

Registration fee is $40 if enrolled by Wednesday, Oct. 22, and $55 after that.
