With another successful school year drawing to a close, Fort Hays State University faculty and administrators will gather for the annual Spring Faculty Meeting on Friday, May 5, to review the 1999-2000 academic year and look to the future.
The Spring Faculty Meeting begins at 3 p.m. Friday in the Black and Gold Ballroom of the Memorial Union.
The highlight of the meeting will be a State of the University Address by Dr. Edward H. Hammond, FHSU president. This has been an eventful year, and his address will cover some important topics. The meeting also will include:
The annual report from the president of the Faculty Senate, Dr. John Durham;
The annual meeting of the University Association and a report from its president,
Dr. Jean-Marie Salien;
The annual meeting of the Graduate Faculty and a report from the new dean of graduate studies, Dr. Tom Jackson.
Commerce Bank of Hays, which provides financial and other support for several FHSU programs, will sponsor a reception for faculty, staff and other invited guests at the bank following the Spring Faculty Meeting.
