FHSU Astronomy Club to host lecture on Mayan astronomy

"Maya Astronomy: Pyramids, Human Sacrifice and Venus" will be the feature of a Fort Hays State University Astronomy Club lecture at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 in Tomanek Hall, room 106, on the FHSU campus.

Dr. James Dull, an astrophysicist from Albertson College in Caldwell, ID, will share his knowledge of Mayan astronomy. He will be available for questions regarding astronomy and cosmology following his presentation.

The lecture is sponsored by The FHSU Astronomy Club and FHSU's Anschutz Professor of Education, Dr. Paul Adams.
