Art sale and open gallery during FHSU Tiger Friends and Family Day
10/27/2003

In conjunction with Fort Hays State University's Tiger Friends and Family Day, the FHSU Department of Art is hosting its annual Student Scholarship Art Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, in Rarick Hall's first-floor hallway.

The Moss-Thorns Gallery will also be open for the exhibition of alumnus Zhimin Guan.

Proceeds of the sale will benefit the general art scholarship fund.

Art faculty, alumni and students have donated artwork -- oil and watercolor paintings, ceramics, fine art prints, sculpture, jewelry, photographs, drawings and more.

This is an opportunity for art patrons to purchase quality artwork by both nationally and internationally recognized artists while making a meaningful contribution to the general art scholarship fund at FHSU.

Area artists or alumni who are interested in donating artwork for the sale should contact Gordon Sherman, associate professor of art, at (785) 628-4304 or the Department of Art at (785) 628-4247.

Rarick Hall is located on the corner of Park and Eighth Streets.
