Season tickets are now available for Fort Hays State University's Encore Series, with shows ranging from the Trinity Irish Dance Company on Sept. 21 to the Moscow Chamber Orchestra on May 6. Request forms for the tickets can be obtained by calling (785) 628-5308 or (785) 628-5801.
Other scheduled performances are Rhythm and Brass on Oct. 19, Cats on Dec. 8, The Jacques Thibaud String Trio with Eugenia Zukerman on Feb. 5, and A Streetcar Named Desire on Feb. 26. On March 5, Momix will perform and The Reduced Shakespeare Co. will present All the Great Books (Abridged) on April 13.
All Encore Series programs will be held in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center located in Sheridan Hall and all will begin at 8 p.m. except for Trinity Irish Dance Company, which will start at 7:30 p.m., and Rhythm and Brass, which will start at 3 p.m. Seating will start 30 minutes before each show.
Five categories of season tickets are available. The Business Season Contributor price is $400 for two reserved tickets. The Season Contributor tickets are $300 for two tickets or $150 for one ticket.
In the Patron category the couples set is $200 for two reserved-section tickets and $150 for two unreserved-section tickets. The senior citizen packet is $90 for one reserved ticket or $65 for an unreserved seat. Children's season tickets are $50 reserved and $35 unreserved.
Families can buy a family Packet, which is four tickets at $250 for reserved seating and $200 for unreserved. FHSU students can buy a reserved ticket for $40 and an unreserved ticket for $30. Students must present a valid FHSU ID.
Faculty and staff of FHSU may purchase the couples packet or the individual packets from the Patron or Family category for $15 less than listed above.
Purchasing season tickets has benefits. Season ticket holders will have first chance to buy tickets for other events held by the Special Events Committee. Season ticket purchasers also receive up to a 37 percent discount off the cumulative price of individual tickets.
