U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback, R-KS, will conduct a town hall meeting from 9:30-10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, on the campus of Fort Hays State University.

The meeting will be in the Black and Gold Room of Memorial Union.

After the town-hall segment, Brownback will be available to the media until 10:45 a.m.

Brownback's appearance at FHSU is sponsored by the university, its Docking Institute of Public Affairs and the Department of Political Science.

Among the topics to be covered are the New Homestead Act, the economy, rural development, agriculture, energy, foreign policy, water and Homeland Security.
