FHSU students win awards at KAB annual contest

Four Fort Hays State University students won several awards for their work in broadcasting at the recent Kansas Association of Broadcasters annual student awards contest in Wichita.

Jenna Stout, Plainville special student, took first place in the Public Affairs Program category for her Student Government Association Promotional Video and second place in the Entertainment Program category for her program titled "As the Barbie Turns."

Gabe Jenkins, St. Francis senior, took first place in the Station Promotion Announcement category with "Gabe Jenkins' Request Show" and first place in the DJ Personality Air Check with "The Request Show."

Dustin Armbruster, WaKeeney senior, took first place with John Hutton, Red Cloud, NE, junior, in the Sports Play-by-Play category with their broadcast of the Osborne girls versus the Smith Center girls basketball game.

Hutton also took second place with Jenkins in the Sports Play-by-Play category with their broadcast of Trego versus Sacred Heart.
