FHSU students attend annual Delta Tau Alpha convention

Six members of Fort Hays State University's chapter of Delta Tau Alpha attended the 44th annual DTA convention from April 13-15 at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX.

Members who attended were Mark Howerton, Lyons senior; Matt Deyle, Imperial, NE, senior; Lacy Davis, Haswell, CO, junior; Tim Weber, Garden Plain junior; Jarett Schmeidler, Hays senior; and Brandon Baugh, Dodge City junior.

Dr. Jean Gleichsner, associate professor of agriculture and chapter advisor, accompanied the group and was elected to a two-year term as National DTA advisor.

"Delta Tau Alpha is a national agriculture society for students who rank in the top 35 percent of their class and have completed 45 credit hours, of which nine hours have been agriculture courses," said Gleichsner.
