FHSU artist Amy Schmierbach plans solo exhibit in Kansas City through May

Amy Schmierbach, assistant professor of art at Fort Hays State University, will have a solo exhibition of her work at the Kansas City Artist Coalition, 201 Wyandotte, Kansas City, MO, through the month of May.

The opening will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday, May 2. This exhibition will include a series of self-portrait photographs that address issues of intimacy in the western Kansas landscape. It will also include an installation of recent three-dimensional work that visually and physically explores touch, comfort and warmth. The work in this exhibition was funded in part by an FHSU Graduate School research grant and a mini-fellowship from the Kansas Arts Commission.
