History Instructor Kim Perez selected to attend Asian Studies Development Program workshop

Kim Perez, instructor of history at Fort Hays State University, was selected to attend a workshop in Kansas City, MO, from April 2-6.

The workshop was Traditions of Dissent: Negotiating Authoritative Change in East and Southeast Asian Societies and was hosted by Johnson County Community College in conjunction with the Asian Studies Development Program. It was funded by The National Endowment for the Humanities.

Perez's primary responsibility at FHSU is teaching modern world civilization and her attendance at this workshop fits into the History Department's goal of continuing and expanding the expertise of its faculty in non-western cultures.
