University Activities Board presents 8 Degrees

The University Activities Board of Fort Hays State University, along with G-B Records, Mix 103, and Fresh Choices 2001, presents 8 Degrees at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in the Tigers Den located on the west side of Custer Hall.

This is another show in conjunction with the Gallery Series. 8 Degrees is a "rapcore" style band fusing with the harsh sounds of heavy guitars, funky bass, tribal hip hop beats, style, and raw energy.

8 Degrees, based out of Topeka, has performed in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Colorado, Tennessee and California. The group has a self-released CD, "Swam the Waters," which has sold more than 1,000 copies, and they have performed with several acts including Deftones, Incubus, Stuck Mojo, and Snot.

The group has five members: Aaron Lambotte, vocals; James Johnston, guitar; Erik Francis, guitar; Tim Gentry, bass guitar; and Chris Stuke, drums.

Admission, $2 per person, will be taken at the door.
