Fifteen Fort Hays State University faculty members have been granted tenure or promoted. The tenures and promotions begin with the 2004 fiscal year.
Eight faculty members received tenure and were promoted from assistant professor to associate professor: Dr. Laura Andrews, Department of Music; Dr. Rita Hauck, Department of Technology Studies; Dr. John Heinrichs, Department of Geosciences; Brenda Hoopingarner, Department of Allied Health; Carolyn Insley, Department of Nursing; Dr. Carol Patrick, Department of Psychology; Jane Peterson, Department of Nursing; Gordon Sherman, Department of Art.
One faculty member, Dr. Paul Adams, associate professor of physics, was promoted to professor. Jennifer Wagner, instructor of allied health, was promoted to assistant professor.
Three faculty members were promoted from assistant professor to associate professor: Dr. Shala Bannister, Department of Political Science and Justice Studies; Dr. Arthur Morin, Department of Political Science and Justice Studies; Dr. Josephine Squires, Department of Political Science and Justice Studies.
Dr. Win Jordan, assistant professor of business administration, and Kim Stewart, assistant professor of technology studies, received tenure.
They will be recognized at the annual Tenure and Promotion Reception in April.
