Sabrina William, special projects coordinator for the Hays Area Chamber of Commerce and Hoxie graduate student at Fort Hays State University, is currently profiled on the popular career Web site www.MonsterLearning.com.
MonsterLearning, sister site to Monster.com, the Web site where people post their resumes for employers, provides "learning opportunities through career-related sources and programs," according to the site. "Learner Profiles" are featured to document the success of students in Virtual College programs.
William's profile will be featured on MonsterLearning's homepage until March 8, after which it will be archived in the database on the Web address http://www.monsterlearning.com/resources/articles/profile/archives/swilliam.asp. Her profile will occasionally be cycled back onto the index page as the featured profile.
William is concentrating in organizational leadership through FHSU's Department of Leadership Studies. She received her bachelor of business administration from FHSU in 2001.
William said that her key to success was to "enjoy what you do, work hard, be dependable and respect all human beings."
She accredits Hays' size as a good proving ground for leadership skills.
She is currently working on a downtown revitalization project with the chamber and multiple city departments. "We're trying to make Hays a destination point," she said.
