FHSU residence hall assistants recognized at conference

Several residence hall assistants from Fort Hays State University attended a Resident Assistant Leadership Conference at Emporia State University on Feb. 21.

FHSU and each residence hall was represented by at least one of student.

The conference featured workshops that provided different techniques for assisting with and bettering the hall's residents.

In addition to attending workshops, FHSU's representatives were awarded second place in a game that challenged each university's RAs with trivia about their halls. FHSU's RAs also received an award for most congenial.

At the end of the session, each student received a certificate.

"The students all said that they had a great time and that they can't wait to go next year," said Jennifer Boyce, McMindes Hall director.
