Dr. Richard Heil, chair of the Department of Political Science and Justice Studies, was involved in a national conference on civic education Jan. 30-Feb. 2, 2003, in Pasadena, CA. Heil was one of more than 70 conference participants from the fields of political science, constitutional law or U.S. history to attend sessions on ways to enhance civic education in schools.

The Center for Civic Education is a nonprofit organization and has its domestic programs implemented in all fifty states, trust territories and is involved in partnerships with more than 40 nations.
