In partnership with Jostens Printing and Publishing, 4000 Adams, Topeka, the staff of the Fort Hays State University Reveille is offering a program for purchasing yearbooks from home.
This method allows parents the opportunity to discuss purchase options with students at home. Yearbooks can be purchased for $10 each. Purchases may be charged by phone or payment may be sent via mail using check or money order. Additionally, a special feature of this program allows parents the option of an installment payment plan.
A toll-free service hotline (1-800-953-5550) is available for those wishing to order over the phone and for any questions about the ordering process. Paper copies of the order form can also be requested at this number.
The priority deadline of March 9 has passed but orders will be taken until the end of the 2000 spring semester.
Enrolled FHSU students should have already received complete details on available options and ordering instructions for the 1999-2000 Reveille.
This marks the first time Fort Hays State University students have had to pay for their copy of the Reveille. Editor-in-chief Devin Strecker, Paradise senior, said the decision was not a hasty one.
"(The Student Government Association) wants to cut allocations money and they recommended we take action. Charging for yearbooks was a decision made by the Student Publications Editorial Board," Strecker said.
The actual payment and ordering process is not being coordinated by FHSU nor the Reveille staff. Jostens is in charge of all arrangements. Strecker said this way, the process will be much easier for his staff and those ordering.
