Economics and Finance Department to host symposium on wind-generated electricity

Wind-generated electricity will be the topic of discussion at a symposium hosted by the Fort Hays State University Department of Economics and Finance at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, in the Black and Gold Room in the Memorial Union.

Panelists include Dr. Vaughn Nelson, director of the Alternative Energy Institute of West Texas A&M University; Tom Fair of Renewable Energy Systems; Dr. Kyle Wetzel, chairman, Kansas Renewable Energy working group; Sharla Krenzel, Wichita County Economic Development Officer; and representatives from Sunflower Electric Power Company and Midwest Energy.

Students, faculty and anyone interested in the history and future of wind-generated electricity in Kansas is invited to attend. No reservations are required and admission is free.
