FHSU College of Business and Leadership to present at Southwest Business Symposium

Seven professors from Fort Hays State University's College of Business and Leadership will take part in the Southwest Business Symposium at the University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond, OK, April 16-18.

Myra Jo Bates, instructor of business administration, will be presenting the table topic "Working Concerns -- The Promotion of Higher Education."

Dr. Charles Gnizak, assistant professor of business administration, Dr. Robert Meier, professor of computer and information systems, and Joan Rumpel, assistant professor of business administration, will present the paper "E-Filing and Other Internet Usage by College Students: Two-Year Comparative Study."

The table topic "Presenting Tax Topics in Graphs -- Gift Property and Dual Basis, Corporate Tax Rates, etc." will be presented by Gnizak.

Dr. Mary Martin, assistant professor of business administration, and Michael Martin, instructor of business administration, will present the paper "Marketing Education Online: Accommodating Different Learning Styles in the Virtual Classroom."

The paper "Qualified Admissions and Computer Technology: The Second Year" will be presented by Meier and C. Michael Hassett, instructor of computer and information systems.

Meier, Rumpel and Dr. Jerrold Stark, professor of business administration, will present the paper "Cellular Telephones and Handheld Electronic Notebooks: Changes in Ownership, Satisfaction Level, and Purchase Plans, 2000-2002."
