A cappella choir music will steal the show at the Fort Hays State University Concert Choir and Fort Hays Singers March choral concert at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, in Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center on the FHSU campus.
The concert, which will be the final concert directed in Beach/Schmidt by Dr. Rager Moore II, associate professor of music, will celebrate the memory of choral composer Moses Hogan. Moore will be leaving FHSU at the end of the summer term to take on the position of director of choral activities at the University of Idaho, Moscow.
The Donald E. Stout Outstanding Choral Musician Award will be awarded at the concert.
"This award is given annually to the junior or senior student who best exemplifies excellence in the choral art through their leadership and abilities," said Moore.
Admission for the event is $6 for the public and $4 for students and senior citizens. FHSU students will be admitted free with an I.D.
