National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials are co-sponsoring a six week fellowship with Ford Motor Company.
The fellowship will include a conference in Denver and four weeks in Washington, D.C., in a congressional office.
To qualify for the fellowship, students must be 21 or older, currently enrolled or a recent graduate of an accredited university, a U.S. citizen or legal resident of Latino origin, demonstrate leadership potential, and possess a sense of commitment to the Latino community.
To be accepted for this fellowship, students must submit an application including an official transcript, current resume, two letters of recommendation, a personal statement and two essays.
"I think this would be a great opportunity to learn about the government system and make connections that could help you in the future," said Dr. Arthur Morin, assistant professor of political science at Fort Hays State University.
