HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's Sternberg Museum of Natural History will host a public presentation looking at the effects of urbanization on wildlife, particularly bats, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, in the museum's Engel Education Center.
Dale Sparks, FHSU graduate and assistant curator of vertebrates in the Department of Life Sciences at Indiana State University, has studied these effects, mostly dealing with the planned expansion of the Indianapolis International Airport.
His presentation is in conjunction with the museum's showing of "Masters of the Night --The True Story of Bats," which will be on display through Sept. 7. |
