Businesses in the Hays community are invited to send their employees to free open houses at Fort Hays State University?s Sternberg Museum of Natural History on two consecutive nights in March.
"We want the Hays community to know what the museum has to offer, and giving them these free evenings is our way of encouraging that," said Jerry Choate, museum director.
The open houses are from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, and again Friday, March 7. Visitors just need to identify which Hays business they work for to gain free admission on those nights.
"We hope that business owners and managers will encourage their employees to come to these open houses," Choate said.
The Sternberg Museum wants to work with area businesses to promote the community to visitors.
"When visitors come to the community, we want area residents to know about the museum and be able to recommend it to travelers," Choate said. "The longer people remain in town and the better they get to know our community, the more likely they are to recommend that their friends visit Hays."
