FHSU psychology students visit Ellsworth Correctional Facility

HAYS, KS -- Several Fort Hays State University psychology students took a trip on Feb. 4 to the Ellsworth Correctional Facility with Aaron Steinert, Russell sophomore, as their guide.

"While there, we toured the facility and had various staff talk with us about programming and what a typical day is like for the prisoners," said Gina Smith, instructor of psychology. "It was all very interesting."

The students who went on the trip are listed below by hometown.

Bird City: Alicia Burkhalter, senior.
Colby: Amanda Campbell, junior.
Hays: Amanda Campbell, junior.
Russell: Charissa "Angel" Roe, sophomore; Kathy Wallert, sophomore.
