Professors at FHSU to present symposium on genocide in the 20th century

Three presentations and a moderated panel session at Fort Hays State University will be presented at a mini-symposium on genocide, "Holocaust Remembered and Holocaust Denied: Genocide in the Twentieth Century."

The symposium is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, in the Sunflower Theatre of FHSU's Memorial Union.

The three speakers and the moderator for the panel session come from the university's Departments of English, History and Modern Languages.

Dr. David Goodlett, Department of History, will speak on "Holocaust Denial: Unmaking History."

Dr. Robert Rook, also of the Department of History, will speak on "The Armenian Massacres: Attempted Genocide Forgotten and Remembered."

Dr. Steven Trout of the Department of English will discuss "Hollywood and the Holocaust."

Dr. Ernst Hintz of the Department of Modern Languages will moderate a panel session following the presentations.

The mini-symposium is free of charge, open to the public.
