Block and Bridle takes fourth place at scrapbook award competition

Three Fort Hays State University Block and Bridle students were involved in putting together a scrapbook that took fourth place out of 18 entries in the national Block and Bridle Chapter Scrapbook Award competition during the national convention from Jan. 23-26 in Washington, D.C.

The scrapbook was crafted by Joshua Austin, Stafford senior, and Rebecca Smith, Leoti sophomore, with some contributions made by Jeanne Ahlquist, Tescott senior.

"Club rosters, sample meeting minutes, budget, and a lot of pictures of the different activities that the club does for the year were included in the scrapbook," said Brittany Bock, assistant professor of agriculture and Block and Bridle advisor.

Forty-three chapters from across the nation attended the convention, including Kansas State University and Colby Community College.
