Fort Hays State University's Department of Philosophy will sponsor a presentation and open discussion on "Muzzling the Media: Does Concern for Security Trump the First Amendment?"

This discussion is a continuation of the series "Civil Discussions of Controversial Issues."

Gene Anderson, a local attorney at law with the firm of Anderson and Wichman, will be the featured speaker. Anderson has a record of speaking out on questions involving civil liberties.

The colloquium, which is open to the public, will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the Hays Public Library.
