Registration is open for a full 10-hour course on OSHA safety training topics that will be offered over a day and a half, May 5-6, at Fort Hays State University's Sternberg Museum of Natural History.
The training runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 5, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday. Kansas Department of Labor staff will provide instruction and FHSU's Kansas Small Business Development Center will serve as host.
Training will cover such topics as an introduction to OSHA, personal protective equipment, ergonomics, electrical safety, record keeping, hazard communications, fire protection and more. Completion of this course will "qualify" employees on education of OSHA topics and those who attend will receive a course-completion card.
Registration cost is $150 and includes lunch on Thursday, May 5. The deadline for registration is April 28. Late registration will cost $175.
