FHSU's Small Business Development Center schedules 'lunch and learn' session at Sternberg Museum

Fort Hays State University's Sternberg Museum of Natural History will host the next "lunch and learn" session, "Tracking Visitors to My Web Site," sponsored by the university's Small Business Development Center.

This roundtable session, scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, is limited to the first 20 existing businesses that are interested in e-commerce. Registration is free. Lunch, sponsored by FHSU's Department of Management and Marketing, is included.

Jason Jenisch, internet systems administrator for Nex-Tech will discuss such things as "Web Stats on Log File Analysis -- What is Log File Analysis?,"; "How Do I Access the Data to Understand It?"; and "What Kinds of Information Can I Get About the People Who Visit My Web Site?"

He will also cover how to use the information to draw people to Web sites, software for Web data analysis, indexing sites and a "refresher" on search engine registration and listings.
