Mostly Martha will be the second film in the International Film Series, presented by the International Student Union at Fort Hays State University.
Mostly Martha will be shown at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the McMindes Hall East Living Room.
" This is a great way to spend a relaxing evening, enjoying a great German film," said Marnie Kohl, of the Office of International Student Services.
Martha, head chef for an upscale restaurant in present day Germany, lives for her work and presides with obsessive care over a spotless, precise kitchen. When her sister dies in a car accident, Martha has to care for Lina, her 8-year-old niece. The orderly world of Martha's kitchen falls apart and the owner brings in a flamboyant, fun-loving Italian chef to help her deal with the pressure.
The two cooks are instantly at odds, but as time goes by, with her whole world turned upside down and her personal space more crowded than she could ever imagine, Martha begins to find a new recipe for life.
