In three sessions beginning March 31, Fort Hays State University's Small Business Development Center will offer a workshop on the basics of record keeping using QuickBooks software.
The three-part, introductory workshop, Record Keeping with QuickBooks: Crunching the Numbers, costs $150 if registered by March 24. Late registration is $180.
The three sessions will be from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on three consecutive Thursdays, March 31, April 7 and April 14, at Quinter High School, 600 Long St., in the first floor computer lab.
Session 1 will cover the basics of record keeping, getting started with QuickBooks, and working with lists.
Session 2 will deal with setting up inventory, invoicing, customizing and designing forms, and payment processing.
Session 3 covers payroll, sales tax, and creating reports.
The instructor will be Sheryl Davis, a certified public accountant and assistant director of the FHSU SBDC.
