Thursday night at the regular scheduled Student Government Association meeting, Kiley Eisenhour, Stafford junior, and Tavish Marshall, Tipton junior, announced their intent to run for student body president and vice president at Fort Hays State University.
Eisenhour has served as the Student Government Association?s legislative affairs direct for two years and is majoring in justice studies with a minor in Spanish. Marshall is serving as the SGA treasurer and is dual-majoring in finance and accounting.
Eisenhour and Marshall?s platform will center around initiating an ROTC program on campus, researching the benefits and possibilities of a laptop university, continuing efforts on the intramural renovation, and developing a student advisory counsel for each of the four colleges.
" We are excited about kicking off our campaign and look forward to the weeks ahead," Eisenhour said.
" I?m excited about the upcoming campaign and firmly believe in the importance of our issues affecting Fort Hays State University," Marshall added.
The announcement kicks off a campaign that will conclude with elections on April 13 and 14, 2005.
