Fort Hays State University's Department of Communication Disorders will have a site visit from the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Feb. 28 and March 1.
The CAA sets standards for the accreditation of graduate education programs that prepare entry-level professionals for careers in audiology and speech-language pathology. FHSU's program has continuously been re-accredited since its first accreditation in 1986. It is one of four CAA accredited programs in Kansas.
Members of the public are invited to attend a public meeting with the accreditation team on Monday, Feb. 28 in Albertson Hall 104 from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
