Linda Ganstrom, associate professor of art at Fort Hays State University, recently installed "Pygmalion's Gaze Reimagined: The Figure in Contemporary Ceramics" at the Creative Alliance Main Gallery in Baltimore.
The exhibition opens Feb. 2 and runs until March 19. It features figurative ceramics of 20 artists, including Ganstrom and FHSU graduate Jayson Taylor. The exhibition is in conjunction with the National Council on Education in the Ceramic Arts, the largest annual arts-related conference in the world. It will also be open during the American Crafts Council Exhibition.
Ganstrom also served as the juror of the Shafer Regional Invitational Art Exhibition on the Barton County Community College campus. That exhibition opened Jan. 18 and runs to Feb. 20. Each piece in the exhibition is featured in a full-color catalog of the exhibition.
