A new annual scholarship fund has been established by the Hays Bass Anglers Association with the Fort Hays State University Endowment Association.

Preference is given to scholarship applicants who are graduates of a Kansas high school majoring in biological sciences with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Financial need may be taken into consideration.

The association is affiliated with the national B.A.S.S. organization and raises funds through the year to donate to various charitable organizations.

The first recipient of the Hays Bass Anglers Association Scholarship, for the spring 2005 semester, is Scott Voss, a graduate of Hays High School. Scott is a senior biology major at FHSU.
