FHSU student wins singing competition

Fort Hays State University senior Alisha Erwin placed first in the Senior Women's Division of the Regional Singing Competition and Student Auditions for the west central region of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

Seventeen students from the FHSU Music Department attended the competition during the weekend of Nov. 1 in Boulder, CO.

Making it to the semi-finals were junior Jamie Hickel, Junior Women's Division; sophomore Sarah Glassman, Junior Women's Division; sophomore Charlotte Moore, Sophomore Women's Division; freshman Theisi Gibson, Freshman Women's Division; and Hays High junior Courtney Moore, Freshman Women's Division.
