FHSU professor published in Kansas nursing journal
11/12/2002

An article written by Fort Hays State University's Carolyn Insley, assistant professor of nursing, was recently published in The Kansas Nurse.

In the aftermath of Sept. 11, 2001, Insley examined nursing literature explaining why nurses do what they do and then shared her findings in the context of her own story as a nurse in her article "Nursing Memoirs: Why We Do What We Do."

Insley has more than 30 years of experience as a nurse, including 15 years of perioperative nursing. She is the President-Elect of Sigma Theta Tau, International, Nu Zeta Chapter and is on the board of the Kansas State Nurses Association District XVI.
