Fort Hays State University's Chinese Student Association will present an educational program in conjunction with International Education Week at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in Albertson Hall, room 235.
The program will focus on Confucianism and will feature a demonstration of Chinese knotting.
Four main topics will be covered, an introduction of Confucius and the origins of Confucianism; five essentials of Confucianism; the embodiments of Confucianism in contemporary Eastern Asia and how it contrasts with western culture; and a demonstration of the folk art that symbolizes Confucius' beliefs and group harmony --Chinese knotting.
